PeakMe - App Privacy Policy

Who we are PeakMe is a brand of eShopping Group Pty Ltd (ABN 23 606 860 806), based in Australia. You can contact us at support@peakme.com.au.

What this policy covers This policy applies to the PeakMe mobile application for controlling PeakMe red-light therapy panels (the App) on iOS and Android. It does not cover our retail website. For website privacy information, please refer to the website privacy policy published separately on https://peakme.com.au/policies/privacy-policy.

1. Summary (the short version)

  • The App connects to your PeakMe panel locally over Bluetooth.
  • We do not collect or receive personal information from your device via the App.
  • The App does not track you, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not access your precise location.
  • We may see aggregated, store-level metrics (e.g., download counts, crash summaries) provided by Apple and Google. These are not collected by us from your device.

2. Data we do not collect

When you use the App, we do not collect: your name, email, phone number, precise location/GPS, health data, identifiers (IDFA), or usage analytics from your device. We also do not create profiles, share data with data brokers, or link any data to you for advertising.

3. Limited information we may receive from app stores

Apple and Google may provide us aggregated and anonymised dashboards such as total installs, crashes, device types or territories. We use these store-provided insights to understand adoption and stability. We do not combine these with any data from your device, and we do not receive information that directly identifies you. 4. Device permissions and connectivity

  • Bluetooth: The App uses Bluetooth to discover and connect to your PeakMe panel and to send control commands.
  • Location (BLE requirement on some Android versions): Because the software control product uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), some devices/OS versions may request a Location permission to enable BLE scanning. Granting this permission is an operating-system requirement; the App itself does not access, use, or store your precise location, even if the permission is granted.
  • Network: No internet connection is required to operate your panel. The App may connect to the internet only to check for an available app update via the app store interface.

If you deny a requested permission (e.g., Bluetooth, or Location where required by the OS for BLE), you may be unable to pair with your panel. The App remains functional to the extent possible without that permission.

5. Children

The App is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us via the App, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data storage, retention and security

Because the App does not collect personal information, we do not store personal information on our servers. Any settings you save are stored locally on your device. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep the App secure.

7. Sharing and international transfers

We do not share your personal information, because we do not collect it. We do not transfer personal information overseas.

8. Your rights and how to contact us (Australia)

If you have questions about privacy in the App, contact support@peakme.com.au. If you believe we have handled personal information contrary to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), please contact us first so we can address your concerns. If you remain dissatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Platform-specific notes

iOS (Apple App Store)

  • The App’s App Privacy label is set to “Data Not Collected.”
  • The App does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission because it does not track users.

Android (Google Play)

  • In Data safety, the App is declared as “No data collected.”
  • Because BLE scanning may require it on some devices/OS versions, the OS may request a Location permission solely to enable Bluetooth. We do not access or store location data.
  • The App does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

We publish one policy for both platforms on our website. This section simply clarifies platform disclosures; it is not marketing and does not link to third-party stores from within the iOS app.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect functional or legal changes. Material changes will be noted at the top with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after the effective date indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
