Celeb Training Pair Share Perfect Poddy Pairings
Want to dial up your wellness routine without any extra effort? Adding a podcast is the perfect way to maximise your time by treating your body and your mind.
We asked two of the busiest (yet fittest) people we could think of — celebrity trainer and gym owner Jono Castano and his wellness-guru business partner, Amy Castano — for their top podcast picks to pair with their regular Sauna, Red Light Therapy, and PEMF Mat routines.
“I love anything that digs into performance, physical or mental,” Jono said. “I also enjoy long-form storytelling podcasts when I need to decompress.”
Even if you can only squeeze in 10-20 minutes, adding an episode (or audiobook, if you’re more into those) can enhance the experience by helping you unwind or stimulate your mind.

Jono cited the ever-popular neuroscience podcast, Huberman Lab, as one of his recent favourites for all things brain health and bio hacks.
“Huberman made me realise the power of morning sunlight to regulate hormones and energy,” he added. “It genuinely shifted my entire morning routine.”
And for a guy who notoriously starts his day at 4 a.m., optimising his mornings is essential.
He also mentioned he’s recently gotten into Modern Wisdom, hosted by Chris Williamson, as a go-to for more male-skewing motivational conversations and health-related topics.
“‘You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems.’ That line hooked me on Modern Wisdom and shaped the whole way I build programs, teams, and even my personal habits. PEMF, Red Light, and saunas are a huge part of my ‘system.’”
Both Amy and Jono ranked Diary of a CEO and Jay Shetty’s On Purpose as shared favourites they stream at their popular gym chain, Acero, while winding down after busy days.

And for more women-led podcasts, Amy said she devours beauty, wellness, mindset, and female entrepreneurship podcasts, or “anything that feels like sitting with a big sister getting advice.”
Among those topping her list is Aspire with Emma Grede, where she first heard the quote ‘your brand is built in the moments no one sees.’
“Emma has reminded me time and time again that the behind-the-scenes discipline, the habits, the boundaries, the way you treat yourself is actually what builds long-term credibility and success,” Amy said.
She also noted the smash-hit Mel Robbins Podcast as a regular on her rotation.
“‘Motivation isn’t coming, you have to act first’ — that line stopped me from waiting to ‘feel ready’ and pushed me to take action, especially with content, wellness routines, and big business decisions.”
And to juggle it all, taking action starts with nailing her wellness routine.

So what other ways do these pros habit-stack? Aside from integrating podcasts into their routines, Amy mentioned doing skincare while answering voice messages or squeezing in 300 calories on a cardio machine while editing/planning content or replying to emails.
“Because I have so much going on between ACERO, content, building brands, and travel, wellness stacking lets me look after myself without taking giant chunks out of my day. It’s how I stay consistent.”
Jono added that, in addition to adding podcasts to his recovery sessions, he likes to respond to emails or plan his day during his morning treadmill walk, or stretch while he sends voicenotes to trainers or clients, or dive into cold therapy straight after training to “compress [his] recovery window.”
“My schedule is packed, so efficiency is everything,” the A-list trainer said. “If I can get recovery, education, and mindset work in the same block — that’s a win. It keeps me disciplined without feeling overloaded.”
